Well I jinxed it with my euphoric Spring postings and the weather has been freezing all week.

This culminated in a Thursday night run, with us setting out in ferocious hail that was hurting our faces for the first mile.

As we were half way up the first hill it started thundering. Jo's daughter phoned from a friend' house to say, " Have you seen the weather?"  The response was, " Yes dear, I'm running in it and I need to get off the phone and keep moving so I don't get hyperthermia".

Then of course, at the top of the  hill the clouds kept moving,  the sun came out and it was lovely.

Loving the Light

Well I do love the clocks going forward and the weather improving. It's so nice to be able to get out in the light.

Today has been glorious and I've been in the clough practising outdoor maths by measuring the height of trees using various dubious methods. It was great.

Here are a few photos of us appreciating the season during the last few weeks.

Running on Ilkley Moor
Cycling to Bolton Abbey for lunch. The boys have been quite good about being dragged out on their bikes.
Victoria Cave, Settle

Funny faced lambs on Kildwick moor.
Baildon moor reccying for Wednesday night, running club, pub runs.
Mountain biking Silsden Canal.
Walking in Threshfield quarry with friends we have walked with since they were in off road buggies.

Burnsall Fell. Up high.
Near Threshfield quarry.  Looking towards Malham moor.
The Old Pike
Behind Beamsley Beacon. Someone put a nice bench here!
View of home on my most used running route. In the light and sunshine after many weeks stumbling round in the dark.
The pinnacle in the light. We visit here most Wednesdays in the winter, in the dark, so nice to see how it's getting on without the torches.

Waiting for the babies.

Silsden Beck. Running to rugby training.
Stopping to notice the small things.

Enjoy the light. Will try and blog more.
