Buckden Pike

We had a windy walk up Buckden Beck to Buckden Pike, famous for rescued dogs, and memorials to plane crashes.

The walk up the gill is brilliant. It goes alongside a bubbling beck and various beautiful waterfalls. It's a bit of a hidden route, a secret way,  that involves some scrambling and has death defying ledges to negotiate. The water was racing after recent monsoon conditions.

On the way up we stopped at the lead mine. Another place with a good story.
