Hooray, it's Friday. It's been a manic week. Work has been particularly exhausting but today has been great so far. I've been for a run with Jo up Eastburn quarry and down the clough and I've been for a cup of tea with my Grandma who was unusually cheerful and pleased to see me.
Despite work being all consuming as ever, I have done quite a bit of running, somehow. I went out with S for the second time. She complained about me dirtying her trainers by making her run through puddles and cow pats, but she is looking forward to the next time.
S and I also went swimming again last night. She had improved so much in just a week. Oh no! We did 54 lengths.
I went swimming last night with my new found swimming buddy. It was good fun.
She is keen to regain the fitness she had as a teenager, when she swam for Yorkshire. I don't think I should help her too much in this endeavour, as she will no doubt soon be swimming rings round me.
Anyway as I hadn't swam for a while I was tired this morning but I managed to run round Silsden moor for ten miles, which I was pleased about.
My dad often refers to Silsden moor as an earthly paradise and on a sunny day, on your bike on quiet roads, it is.
It wasn't quite on the ep scale today, in the rain but I was still really happy to get out. I feel like I'm getting better at keeping going on the hills although it could be that I'm just going slower. It is hard to tell on your own.
